Once aboard we’ll start the sail by hoisting the main and heading due east out of Road Harbor to the edge of Sir Francis Drake’s Channel. We’ll sail slowly past “Hogs Point” and “Brandy Wine Bay” until we reach the pleasant cove at “Half Moon Bay”. A calm mooring awaits us in this picturesque cove and we’ll take anchor as the romantic Caribbean Sun disappears over the Island of Tortola. Drakes Channel is enchanting in the early evening as the trade winds calm down and the lights coming up from the island of Tortola glimmer across the straight. Along the way to Half Moon Bay you can relax and enjoy an endless assortment of beer, mixed drinks, tropical cocktails and French wines from our well stocked open bar. For appetizers we’ll serve delicious gourmet cheeses imported from France and also numerous light and heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared fresh by our very own French Chef - Jean Luc. Everyone on Tortola enjoys a visit to Jean Luc’s Deli and Bakery located in Road Town. His fresh meats and cheeses, pastries and imported French Wines are the delicacy of the island. Born and raised in France where he perfected his cuisine, Jean Luc now prepares all the hors d’oeuvres for our Sunset Sails as well as our daily lunches and snacks for all of our day excursions. Half Moon Bay is an excellent place to watch the Caribbean Sky transcend from sunset to evening as thousands of stars cover the BVI. Many guests marvel at the amazing blanket of stars that often appear so close one could seemingly reach out and touch them. With smooth reggae music; superb cuisine and a magical setting; this is truly an evening to remember for all couples. Reservations should be made in advance for this trip, as we limit the number of guest on our roomy catamaran to only (18) for safety and comfort.
